O-Rings
O-rings
O-rings are used around the liner and are needed to seal the injector and make sure that the carrier gas goes into and out of the liner, and not around it. They can be made of different materials:
- Viton – for MS applications
- Fluororubber – for GC applications, more robust than Kalrez
- Kalrez – for GC applications, less impurity outgas than fluororubber
Standard recommendation:
227-35005-01 – for GC-MS applications (SPL-injectors)
036-11352-03 – for GC applications (SPL-injectors)
